An ideal place

This pretty 17-th century house will seduce you by its peace and its privileged situation. Right in the heart of the Lourmarin´s famous village - classified " one of the most beautiful villages of France ", it overhangs the place of the church where from it is rocked by the song of an ancient fountain. Unless 100 m from the main street with these boutiques, these eating houses and these restaurants, la Petite Maison is a small harbour of rest - brilliant, practical, and comfortable.

Former pied-à-terre of a publisher of Gallimard during the years he worked on "Le dernier Homme" by Albert Camus, the house was us recemment sold completely furnished, until books and music cassettes. It is decorated with gout and very comfortable, with its visible beams and its former floor-tiles and a charming small privative terrace with direct sight on the place. It is ideal for a couple.

Lourmarin and the surroundings

Lourmarin is situated in the heart of the "Parc Naturel du Luberon", halfway among Aix en Provence and Avignon. The village attracts guests of the whole world thanks to the beauty of its situation, its castle Renaissance and its reputation of the gastronomic Mecca.

Nearby one can taste the charms of small peaceful villages such as Cucuron, Vaugines and Ansouis as well as the hidden valleys and the other perched villages of the Luberon. Little in the North, one finds Sénanque´s abbey, magnificent Cistercian building, Gordes and Bonnieux´s medieval villages and careers of ochre as well as houses skated Roussillon.

And there are also the big places of interest - Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Arles, all very easily accessible from Lourmarin
